Marc Molomot

New York based tenor Marc Molomot is quickly becoming known as an exciting young artist with a growing reputation as a distinguished concert and opera singer. After obtaining his Masters degree at the Manhattan School of Music, he started performing as an opera singer en 1994 and sang with, amongst others, the San Francisco Opera and the New York City Opera. He has since developed an affinity for baroque and early music. His performances include the Messiah and Monteverdi’s Orfeo with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Bach’s St John’s Passion with Nicholas McGegan and the Philharmonia Baroque in San Francisco and St Matthew’s Passion with Tafelmusik under Andrew Parrot in Toronto. M. Molomot has appeared in baroque operas such as Pygmalion by Rameau, Actéon by Charpentier and Thésée by Lully while he gives numerous concerts throughout the United States, in France, Poland and Canada. He also continues to sing the romantic opera repertoire. Recently, M. Molomot has made his début with Les Arts Florissants in Les Boréades by Rameau in Paris and he has appeared in Monteverdi’s Incoronazione di Poppea under Paul O’Dette and Steven Stubbs at the Vancouver Baroque Festival.
