With soprano Karina Gauvin — The most beautiful of Johann Sebastian Bach’s soprano arias

Exploring Bach’s cantatas — which Gérard Zwang has described as a “Himalaya of music” — is a pleasure that never fails. Les Boréades join Karina Gauvin to present soprano best repertoire from the cantatas Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten BWV 202 and Non sa che sia dolore BWV 209; as well as the beautiful sinfonia that open cantatas BWV 156 and the flute sonata BWV 1034. A concert featuring Karina Gauvin’s exceptional voice and Francis Colpron’s expressive traverso.
